As women when we embark on our menopause journey, we have a treasure trove of options to navigate our symptoms. Yet, menopause is shrouded in myths, and then there’s a strange badge of honour —from women who have passed into post menopause, as if enduring the hormonal hardship without any assistance is a rite of passage. But if we applied that misguided logic of ‘grit and bear it’ philosophy universally, would we ever seek treatment for any ailment or disease?

Today’s HRT landscape awash with body-identical or bioidentical options, which mirror the essence of our body's hormones. Plant-derived oestrogens, like those from yams, and body-identical progesterones blend seamlessly with our biology, debunking the myth that HRT is anything but a natural stepping stone to ease the menopause's tide.
